6 - Platform content creation¶
Generally, all content creation is permitted as long as the limits enforced by the ABI team are respected. These limits are mostly on the games side. You can find exceptions below. If there are any questions, you are free to contact us at [email protected]
§6.1 You may never forcefully enable or otherwise gain access to any feature not finished or rolled out using modifications or proxy scrips.
§6.2 You may never modify or replace your nameplate. This is done to preserve the value in separate nameplates given out to users that contributed a lot. We tolerate hiding the nameplates or doing minor modifications in explicit roleplay situations or fitting scenarios like horror worlds.
§6.3 If you hide your player's nameplate entirely, which is allowed, you must tag the corresponding avatar with the horror tag.
§6.4 You may use all components given in the form of the content creation kit for content creation purposes only. Malicious intent will be punished.
§6.5 You may utilize all whitelisted components to their full extent as features not intended for use will be removed by the development team.
§6.6 In the case of a legit component configuration causing game breaking issues or crashes to any users clients, you must stop using such content immediately and open a bug report.
§6.7 Knowingly creating content beyond reasonable limits that is negatively impacting another users' client performance is forbidden.
§6.8 Bypassing the world publication system by placing static portals (portals that are part of the world) to non-published worlds in published worlds is forbidden. This excludes rewards for completing challenges and portals to development versions of that specific world. This rule is meant to affect different worlds, by different authors and prevent actual misuse to bypass the publication system.
§6.9 When updating content and adding features requiring a different tag, you are required to change the content tags accordingly. Content tags must match the underlying content at any time.
7 - Modding our games¶
§7.1 You may only create modifications for the purpose of improving the game. Malicious mods are not permitted and will be punished in any case we deem it necessary to take action on.
§7.2 If you plan on publishing your mods to the workshop you must release the mods sourcecode to the public (for example by using github). This does not affect mods hosted on third party platforms directly, that are not released to the workshop.
§7.3 Publishing obfuscated mods to the workshop is not allowed.
§7.4 If you have to overwrite, alter or include base game scripts with your mod, you have to request appropriate permission before releasing it to the public. In this case we also require you to include a disclaimer that the base code of the game is owned by us. This may be a simple one-liner.
§7.5 When releasing mods to the public, it is required to state, that the mod authors and modification are in no affiliation with ABI and not supported by ABI.
§7.6 You may never create cheats / hacks to bypass limitations or gain an unfair advantage in any game mode or game world.
§7.7 When installing mods, the liability for damage and harm caused by such is on the user. ABI will not be liable for any harm, damage or any other negative impact caused by modifications loaded from sources other than the official workshop.
8 - Account management¶
§8.1 Account bans can only be appealed by using the support system in the community hub linked above. Messages on the Discord or e-mails for unban requests will be ignored.
§8.2 In accordance with the EU GDPR regulations we offer you collected data packages and account deletions. This can be requested in your account settings on the community hub.
§8.3 In the case of an account deletion, the suspension remains active and as such will lead to newly created accounts being suspended for ban evasion. Account deletion is not your ticket to bypass suspensions.
§8.4 We do not allow indefinite appeals. Appeal a ban only if you are very certain that the suspension is unjustified as we reserve the right to deny appeals at any time without any need to include a reasoning.
§8.5 The team of Alpha Blend Interactive has the permission to terminate accounts without rule violations to protect other players if a danger for other players is possible.
